LASER HAIR
REMOVAL

At St. Pete Aesthetics & Laser,  we use the Triton System to perform our hair removal treatments. This system uses intense pulsed light, also known as IPL, to target and eliminate unwanted hair on the face and body. One of the benefits of this particular hair removal system is that it can treat all skin types and tones safely and effectively.

Benefits of the Triton System

The Triton Hair Removal treatment is so effective because it can eliminate unwanted hair at the follicular level, regardless of the growth stage. Most laser devices require that hair is in an active growth stage for effective destruction and hair growth prevention.

However, though this treatment device does work best when hair is in the active growth phase, it can help patients achieve results faster with fewer sessions by destroying the hair at all growth stages within the follicles in the treatment area.

HOW IT WORKS

This laser hair removal treatment is effective because it destroys hair follicles with heat energy so they can no longer grow hair. Once treated, you can expect the follicles in your treatment area to stop growing hair, and you will experience an 80 to 90% reduction in unwanted hair after your treatment.

During treatment, we will apply the necessary treatment head to your skin based on your skin type and tone, and the IPL technology will use light energy to heat the hair follicles and destroy them.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before your treatment, it’s important that you avoid applying creams, lotions, or makeup since it will help prevent skin irritation and promote optimal results. The treatment is virtually painless and feels like a small rubber band snapping against the skin’s surface. The Triton device is equipped with SmartPulse cooling technology that enhances comfort during the treatment.

Treatments are quick, and you can resume normal daily activities once they’re over. It’s important that you avoid excessive sun exposure after your treatment and follow the post-care instructions regarding makeup or product application.
