At St. Pete Aesthetics & Laser in Saint Petersburg, FL, we offer three effective neuromodulators: Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. These wrinkle-relaxing injectables contain a unique neurotoxin that can help you look and feel younger, more approachable, and more confident about your appearance.
NEUROMODULATORS
Neuromodulators are anti-aging injectables that contain a neurotoxin and reduce wrinkles by relaxing the muscles. If you have expression lines on your forehead, between your eyebrows, the outer corners of your eyes, on your neck, at the corners of your mouth, or beneath your eyes and want to temporarily eliminate them with the safe and effective treatment, you may be the perfect candidate for one of our wrinkle-relaxing injectables.
TREATMENT
EXPECTATIONS
We will evaluate your expression lines, ask you some questions about your medical history, and find out if you have had any experience with neuromodulators to determine which injectable is right for you. You may benefit from treatment with one or more of these products; it just depends on your goals and your dynamic wrinkles or medical-related concerns.
Once we confirm that you’re a good treatment candidate, we will proceed with the treatment process. We will schedule your appointment and provide a few ways to prepare your skin before treatment. Then, once you arrive, we will clean your skin and administer the injections with a very fine needle. We can use a topical numbing solution if you need it, but most patients are fine without it. Once your treatment is over, you’ll be free to go about your day.
DERMAL FILLERS
When it comes to dermal fillers, variety is key. Patients have different needs and concerns, so we offer several filler brands. We customize every treatment plan based on our patients’ ultimate goals. If you’re looking for hyaluronic acid-based fillers to enhance your features and achieve immediate anti-aging results, we can help you reach your goals with fillers from the Juvederm and Restylane collections or with Belotero. Not only do we offer hyaluronic-acid-based fillers, but we also offer two collagen-stimulating fillers. Sculptra and Radiesse each use a different active ingredient to stimulate collagen production within the skin’s foundational layers to strengthen the skin and help patients grow new, natural collagen to target some of the most common signs of aging. Once we evaluate your areas of concern, we can help you choose which filler is right for you.
EXPECTATIONS
NEUROMODULATORS
You can expect results within 2 to 14 days of treatment. You may see results sooner than later depending on which product we use to treat your expression lines. Botox typically takes the longest to deliver results, but it also lasts the longest.
Dysport and Xeomin tend to deliver results within a few days of treatment. Results last anywhere from three to six months, after which you can schedule another treatment and maintain your wrinkle-free appearance.
DERMAL FILLERS
Once you schedule and complete the initial consultation, we will create a treatment plan and provide some ways that you can prepare for your appointment. You won’t have to worry about downtime or take time off work after your appointment, but you will need to follow some post-treatment care instructions. We will ask you to:

Refrain from applying products for six hours post-treatment

Avoid intense heat, including tanning beds, sunbathing, saunas, and hot tubs

Avoid extreme cold

Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours post-treatment
